This wine comes from the eponymous village located in a valley between Mâcon and Tournus where the soil is mainly clay and limestone.

It' s a beautiful terroir on the lieu-dit "Bois Maréchal" where you can see white limestone pebbles in the clay soil. The exposure is due south, providing rich and tasty wines.
